About Us:

Ffestiniog Travel organises escorted holidays to destinations around the globe, travelling wherever
practical by public trains, creating the opportunity to really connect with the country being visited. We include
opportunities for seeing the local heritage and culture, as well as unique railway experiences so our holidays
are enjoyed by people who merely like travelling by train as well as those who are using the holiday to visit
specific rail environments.

We plan the holidays so that there are opportunities for customers to make choices to suit themselves.

All holidays have some free time to allow people to “do their own thing,” whether this is visiting somewhere that meets their own special interest, or just having an extra coffee and soaking up the atmosphere. Mostly, meals other than breakfast are not included in the holiday price, to allow people to eat in the style and environment, and at a time, to suit themselves.

We endeavour to ensure that you enjoy any holiday booked with us, and many of our customers travel with us time after time, becoming firm friends over the years.

Our travel consultants are all keen on travelling by train and we have been arranging railway based holidays for over 30 years, so are considered specialists in this field.

This expertise can also be used to make arrangements for your very own itinerary (including air travel and accommodation), or just to purchase rail tickets within the UK, in continental Europe and in many other destinations throughout the world, no matter how long or short the trip.

Ffestiniog Travel strives to control pollution and preserve natural resources by using scheduled transport services wherever possible. When visiting areas for the purpose of
viewing wildlife, we use local guides whose job it is to protect the delicate ecological balance of the region.

As part of the Ffestiniog Railway, the oldest independent railway company in the world, your support goes directly to the preservation and development of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.

So whatever your travel requirements, contact Ffestiniog Travel and we’ll do the rest.

Join us and find out why so many of our customers return year after year.

Responsible Tourism

Ffestiniog Travel is committed to a policy of sustainable, responsible tourism. We hope our customers will share our view that, if what we enjoy today is to be enjoyed by generations to come, we must do our part to ensure it.

For Our Part: We will help to control pollution and preserve natural resources by using scheduled public transport services wherever possible. Whenever we visit places for the purpose of viewing wildlife, we will use local, knowledgeable guides, whose job it is to protect the delicate ecological balance of the area. We will at all times respect the local culture and traditions of the communities we visit.

For Your Part: Please help us to achieve these objectives by being aware that such things are important.

Many of the destinations in this brochure are, thus far, unspoilt by over-development. Let’s work together to keep them that way.
