atmosphere all beckon us to Switzerland. The
picturesque scenery provides the perfect setting as
we celebrate Christmas and welcome in the New Year.

DAY 1 - Brussels and Luxembourg
We take up our First Class Leisure Select seats on
Eurostar leaving London St. Pancras at lunch time.
As we are wined and dined onboard we speed into
continental Europe. After just one change in
Brussels we make our way to Luxemburg for our first
night’s stay.
DAY 2 - Onwards to Wilderswil
We make our way to Basel and then to Wilderswil, our
home for the next 6 nights. The Hotel Bären offers
the friendliest of welcomes and the most festive
experience for Christmas.
DAYS 3 to 7 - Christmas and the Bernese Oberland
With our first class Swiss Pass we are free to
explore with unlimited travel on trains, city and
post buses and trams, the possibilities are endless
with trains running normally every day including
Christmas. Our tour leader will be more than happy
to assist. Don’t forget to be back at the hotel in
time for the Christmas Eve buffet party!
DAY 8 - The Voralpen Express
After a coach transfer to Interlaken we join our
train for Luzern where we board the Voralpen
Express. With Panoramic windows in the first class
carriages we enjoy the charming Pre-Alpine landscape
with its rolling hills and storybook villages
nestled in the valleys. Rapperswil is our
destination and we will be staying in this
delightful town for 4 nights.
DAYS 9 to 11 - New Year in Rapperswil
By Lake Zurich, the old town is dominated by the
castle with its fascinating clock tower. We have a
day trip to St Moritz on New Year’s Eve and on the
return journey, we will feast in the dining car of
the 1800 train departure from St Moritz.
DAY 12 - Classic Rhine Route
We leave Rapperswil and Switzerland behind as we
travel up the Rhine on the classic route to Cologne
for our final night’s stay.
DAY 13 - Home via Brussels
We take the train to Brussels then join our Eurostar
to London, arriving mid afternoon.
