Ride on the longest heritage railway in the UK
through the very heart of Snowdonia, past glorious
rivers, lakes and mountains. Time to explore and
visit the workshops at Dinas and Boston Lodge. This
is most definitely ‘spectacular Wales’ in all its
splendour!

DAY 1 - Travel to North Wales
We meet at Bangor Station ready for a transfer to
our hotel in Caernarfon. Dinner is ‘go as you
please’ this evening.
DAY 2 - Welsh Highland Railway
Visit Dinas Works before joining our train to
Beddgelert. Refreshments will be served on board
whilst we ride through the spectacular mountain
countryside. After travelling through woods and
alongside rivers, we reach Rhyd Ddu. The highest
point is at Pitt’s Head before we descend
dramatically round horseshoe bends and forest to
reach Beddgelert. Time for lunch at leisure before
we continue by train into the beautiful Aberglaslyn
Pass to Hafod y Lyn. Afternoon refreshments will be
served during our return journey to Caernarfon. This
evening we have a ‘Celebration Dinner’ at the hotel
(included).
DAY 3 - Ffestiniog Railway
Travel by private coach to Porthmadog and board the
morning train to Blaenau Ffestiniog. We ascend
through picturesque scenery, high into the mountains
and through ancient oak woodlands. A sumptuous
buffet lunch awaits us in Blaenau Ffestiniog before
our return journey. At Boston Lodge Halt we will
take a tour of the Works before continuing to
Porthmadog. Our coach will take us back to
Caernarfon. Dinner tonight is ‘go as you please.’
DAY 4 - Snowdon Mountain Railway
In the morning we transfer to Llanberis and the
Snowdon Mountain Railway. Conditions permitting
we’ll ride to the top. Later our coach will take us
back to Caernarfon via the charming town of Betws y
Coed with time to explore. We’ll meet up at the
hotel for a ‘Farewell Dinner.’
DAY 5 - Homeward Bound
Morning transfer to Bangor station and journey home.
